As part of the International Christian Mission tradition and legacy, the ICM Hawaii recently celebrated their 2008 Annual Convention.  The annual convention, with the theme “ONE TEAM”, was hosted by the Maui International Christian Fellowship church headed by the International Christian Mission superintendent Rev. Bennie Mariano.  Delegates from the Oahu International Christian Ministries, headed by Pastor Eliezer Diocares, traveled to Maui to attend the convention.
The convention kicked-off on Friday night with Missionary Night.  Pastor Tengan, guest speaker for the evening, spoke about evangelizing each one’s surrounding neighborhoods.  On Saturday morning, the ICM general officers conducted their annual business meeting while the Faithful Stewards(youth groups  from ICM Maui and ICM Oahu) busied themselves with sports activities.  Youth Night service was conducted Saturday night with a guest speaker from Canada, Pastor Ulangca.  The Holy Spirit moved among the youth as Pastor Ulangca called them upfront during the altar call.  Some of the youth were slained as they were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.  Sunday morning service was no different.  It was again full of the presence of the Holy Spirit.  Although the Sunday morning service marked the official conclusion of the convention, the Faithful Stewards was far from ending the convention.  On Sunday afternoon, they traveled to a mountainous part of Maui to begin their annual youth camp.

The ICM annual convention once again brought renewed strength to those who attended through the power of God and the fellowship with one another.  As the delegates from the two ICM churches said their goodbyes to each other, mixed emotions filled their hearts – sadness for only God knows when they will see each other again and joy for the wonderful time they had with one another even for just a few days.
